Where does the barrel sauna come from?
Originally, the sauna with its rich history comes from Finland. Here, people lived in huts built partly underground and stones, which were first in the fire, were placed in these huts to create a higher temperature. The Finns found out that when water was poured over the hot stones, the room became much warmer and those present began to sweat. It was meant to be a heater, but eventually evolved into a sauna.

Today, most barrel saunas are electric or wood-fired with a stove from the top brand Harvia and the product is becoming increasingly popular around the world.

A barrel sauna reduces tension and stress, relaxes tired muscles and increases the body's natural resistance.
